Description
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Class
The state of New York does require that all commercial pools and aquatic facilities have a CPO certified operator onsite or a CPO certified pool operator who oversees the management of the facility. CPO certification can also significantly lower your risk and liability potential. Operators must follow state, county, city and local laws as well as federal laws pertaining to the operation and maintenance of pools and spas.
Certifications are valid for 5 years - a renewal course is required to maintain compliance prior to expiration. If your certification has expired, or if you are a new candidate, the 2 day course is required.
