The New York-based company will provide event sponsorship and education to the association.
Pittsford, New York — September 19, 2022 — Campground Owners of New York (CONY), the trade association for independently owned campgrounds in New York State, welcomes Livingston Energy Group, a Lynkwell company, as a Vendor Partner to its nearly 200 member parks.
As a Vendor Partner, Livingston Energy Group will provide sponsor underwriting to CONY events, present education and information sessions, and contribute editorial content. The company will also have a visible presence as a seminar provider and vendor at the trade show component of CONY’s upcoming Exposition for the Outdoor Hospitality Industry, set for October 31 to November 2, 2022 in Albany, New York.
Livingston Energy Group, based in Schenectady, New York, has been an energy solution provider since 2016. The company offers turnkey project solutions for the installation and management of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and the required infrastructure.
The company is on a growth trend, and it is gaining notice. According to Kate Kruk, Livingston Energy Group’s Director of Community Engagement, “We recently ranked as the 377th fastest-growing private company in America on the Inc. 5000 list. We came in as the 11th fastest growing energy business across the country and the 31st fastest in New York.”
That growth includes engaging with the hospitality industry, including New York-based campgrounds and RV parks. “Our team is excited to be joining with CONY and the outdoor hospitality and recreation areas they serve, said Kruk. “Livingston takes pride in our ability to provide everything that a business needs to have EV charging infrastructure at their location- all in one place! New York is a leader in green transportation and sustainable tourism and our team is dedicated to enabling the future of sustainable and cost-effective EV charging infrastructure.”
Donald Bennett, Jr., CONY’s President & CEO, echoes that enthusiasm for engagement and partnership. “We’re seeing vehicle manufacturers develop more options for electric vehicles, including larger trucks that can tow campers, and vehicle owners are going to need more options to power up across the state.”
Forecasts show that in the United States 30% of the vehicles on the road will be Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) by 2030.
Atlas Public Policy1 reported that as of July, there were nearly 110,000 EVs registered in New York State. The growth in EV registrations across the state has increased about 3.5% over the previous report. As new vehicle options arrive on the market including several new models of EV trucks and family-friendly SUVs more consumers are expected to trade their gas vehicles for their more efficient plug-in counterpart. Combined with Governor Kathy Hochul’s legislation2 that would effectively ban sales of new, internal combustion engine cars and trucks in the Empire state by 2035, the road ahead in New York is looking greener.
Bennett continues, “We’ve found through research that there are very few places across New York for this growing segment of vehicles to plug in, especially in rural areas where many campgrounds are based. Having a progressive company like Livingston Energy Group allied with CONY is going to benefit those park operators interested in providing a power source for their growing base of customers with electric vehicles.
